2006-2007 Tournament Schedule
Jan. 13th Beaverton, OR (7th out of 8)
Finished tied for 7th with 8 team in A/AA Bracket. 2-7 in games 0-4 in match play.
Players: Matt Weaver, John Weaver, Jesse Paulson, Jay Phillips, Brown Fihaki, Keith Jones, Tim Hamann.
Feb. 18th Seattle,WA (2nd out of 9)
Finished tied for 2nd with a 6-3 record by the end. We were unable to play our final game due to time constraints. We split games with the top finishing team in the event with a really fun 25-23, 24-26 2-game set. Much improved play from us and our middles played great.

Feb. 24th Beaverton, OR (3rd out of 11)
Finished 3rd on the day with a 6-6 record. 5 losses coming to in my opinion the top 2 Oregon teams. We knocked KBCC out of the event in a great 3-game match. This is their earliest exit from an event in the last 5-6 years, what a way to peak for us. Middles sure do make a difference and they played great again.

March 11th Beaverton, OR (3rd out of 11)
Finished 3rd out of 11 on the day with a 5-6 record. 4 losses coming to the tourney champs and the other 3rd place squad. We knocked a very tough World Cup out of the event in a great 3-game match. Outside hitting (Jesse, Bryce, and Brown) get my MVP vote for this one as they stepped up their games HUGE to carry us in the elimination rounds.

March 25th Issaquah, WA (3rd out of 7)
Another success in my book as we go 7-5 on the day. Once again 4 of the 5 losses are to the 2 teams finishing ahead of us for the day. Also with our usual pattern we lose in 3 games in the semis to the team that goes on to win the event. Great play by all of our guys for this one. Hats off to Jesse Paulson who was hitting lights out by the end of the day.

April 14th Beaverton, OR (3rd out of 13)
Another close finish for the Madman boys as we went a total of 7-4 on the day with all losses to the 5th (1) and 2nd (3) place teams on the day. MVP nods go to Mo and Jason who both had great days serving and the best passing from Mo I have seen in years!! They held up great under pressure and made a significant impact on the final outcome of the day for us.

April 22nd Issaquah, WA (2nd out of 8)
Finale for the Seattle-area as we inch closer to top, reaching the finals for this one. We went 10-3 on the day and lost the finale in a close 3-game finals to Island Style. Great job by Mo, getting my MVP vote for the day as he stepped up HUGE in the space of our usual go-to-guy Jesse Paulson. Passing was also really strong on the day which made my life easier by far. Great to have my brother back on the court as well, just like old times.

May 5th CEVA Regionals Pacific University, OR (5th of 10)
Not the Madman's day as we went 1-6 on the day finishing in 5th of the men's team at the regionals. We had all tough matches playing 3 top Oregon team in a row in World Cup, Lakeside, and KBCC. We improved each match and MVP votes to Bryce for playing middle for the first time and getting stronger every game to be really tough by the end. I am pumped about our continued progression during the season and excited to see if this will pay off with a competitive nationals for us at the end of the month in Austin.

May 30th-June 2nd USAV Nationals Austin, TX (13th of 36)
A nice end to the season as we went 4-4 and placed quite high finishing in the quarterfinals of the silver bracket. Are losses were all to top half teams as well. Great play by all with huge improvement from Bryce and great middle play. In fact I felt everyone played well as we had great passing, defense, middle play, etc... All the extra play this year showed itself by the time Nationals rolled around this time which was great. Thanks to all the guys for a great season!!
